I’m not quite sure how to describe this, so much is going on with this it’s like trying to describe the spectacle that is day-after Christmas shopping to a hunter-gatherer from the stone age.  Anyway, try I must so here we go:

Very sharp at first as the high alcohol (12.4% abv) hits your palate, this gives way to an oaky from-a cheap-whiskey flavor before leaving a subtle washed-out coffee-stout aftertaste.  I feel like I just got punched in the mouth!

I’m a big fan of some of Lagunitas’s other beers, but this is one that I’m glad they’re only making once as an experiment as I wont be buying more.
